Robert Fripp's Diary

A gentle morning doing what mature rock players do, other than when they are eating cake – laundry. And new reading of the morning: Ronald Hutton’s The Pagan Religions of the Ancient British Isles (Blackwell, 1991) http://www.bris.ac.uk/Depts/History/Staff/hutton.htm

This afternoon, doing what mature rock players rarely do – practising. Now to e-flurrying. The inbox is very in.

Last week DGM received an enquiry for Crimson to play a French festival in 2007. I replied that our european itinerary is blanked until 2043.

The response to this: but what is the meaning of “our european itinerary is blanked until 2043”?

My just-now reply: it means that there is a greater probability that i would pull out my internal organs, one by one, than that Crimson will be touring Europe before 2043. it also means that i would derive much greater personal joy by pulling out my internal organs one by one than Crimson touring europe before 2043. but when i'm 97, i may have changed my mind.

19.09 A command was given: sit on the floor –quietly! It was obeyed.

21.15 Bill Rieflin just called. Bill and Frankie will be leaving Seattle in five-six hours time and flying to England where Minus Three will be supporting Robyn Hitchock on a week of UK dates. We are meeting in Milton Keynes on Tuesday: Bill has never seen an English panto. We also discussed Slow Music’s proposed tour of the West Coast in May.

Here, the Slinky Minx will shortly be arriving back from today’s two shows. Yippee!
